Hailey Tudyk — College of Education Student Council Director of Marketing

Meet Hailey!

Hometown: Frisco, TX

Major: Exercise Science, Pre-Physical Therapy

Year: Senior

Why Auburn? I chose Auburn because of the “Auburn Family” (that is a real thing). I'm from Texas — pretty far away — and the minute I stepped foot on campus I knew this is where I belonged.

Future Plans: My plans after graduation include taking a gap year to rest, take more classes, work a lot, and then apply to Physical Therapy school.

  1. What is your favorite thing about the college and your department?

My favorite thing about the College of Education and the School of Kinesiology is the staff that is so willing to help you with any of your needs. From all of the advisors I have met with, professors that have allowed me to continue my education, and the people that I have met, I have felt the utmost support from everyone.

  2. Why did you want to be a member of the School Council? What do you like most about this role?

I wanted to become a member of the school council because I wanted to be involved and help the college to make a push in a positive direction. The College of Education is already fantastic but I wanted to see the change that I could make in the college that will have lasting impact. The thing I enjoy most about this role is the creativity that I get to have as Director of Marketing. I am a very much science-math person, but because of this opportunity, I have been able to show myself that I can be creative.

  3. What is one thing you wish you had known when you came to Auburn?

One thing I wish I knew when I came to Auburn is talk to your professors. Get to know them, and even with big lecture classes. They want you to succeed and they want to help you, but you have to ask for help.

  4. What's one piece of advice you would give to new students?

One piece of advice I would give to new students is do not take anything for granted. It is a privilege to be studying at Auburn University. Put in work (hard work), and you will be successful. Make sure you are doing things with friends and balancing social life as well.

  5.  What are your favorite Auburn activities?

My favorite Auburn activities include: shopping downtown, rolling Toomer’s, going to lots of sporting events, taking walks on campus, and eating at Auburn staples.
