College of Education New Website FAQ
This fall, the College of Education will launch a new website! This project is ongoing and we will continue updating and amending the website even after the launch. We look forward to working with unit leaders to ensure the website is a wonderful resource for all stakeholders. Also, each unit will have a trained representative who can make minor updates (ex: promotions, date changes, etc.) in 2024 to help with website updates.
Please note: All website requests should go through your unit leader first, before submitting to the Office of Communications and Marketing.
Please see the FAQ below.
1. I don’t like how my program page looks. What do I do?
Once the website has officially launched, we will focus on necessary changes and information updates. For example, removing a program that no longer exists, adding an accreditation requirement, adding a program that is not included, etc.
We will move into other types of updates — updating aesthetics, adding photos or videos, and other content — in early 2024.
2. The wrong headshot was used for my directory bio page and my information needs to be updated. What do I do?
If you have a preferred headshot, you can send it to educomm@auburn.edu and it will be updated.
If you need a new headshot, you can schedule this with Photographic Services and send the photo to educomm@auburn.edu once you have it.
If your directory bio information needs to be updated, please send the information to educomm@auburn.edu and it will be updated.
3. My program requires certain information to be displayed for accreditation purposes and it is missing from the website. How do I get this information on my page?
These are the types of changes we will be focusing on in phase one of our website launch. Please discuss with your unit leader and then submit a project request with the information and requirements and we will get your project in the project queue.
4. I want new content (ex: information, video, photo, graphic, etc.) to go on my page, but it isn’t mandatory for potential students, parents, and alumni to get information about my program. Can I still ask you to add it?
Yes. This is the type of content we will be focusing on in the next phase of our website launch. We want everyone to be satisfied with their pages, but we must focus on what is absolutely necessary in Phase 1. Please discuss with your unit leader and then submit a project request and we will get your project in the queue.
5. Can I change the format and design of my program's page(s) on the website?
We do have some flexibility in the look and feel of our website but we have brand guidelines and standards that we will be using for pages — particularly the primary college, department, and program landing pages. We also must adhere to Auburn's brand guidelines and cannot use unapproved logos or other design elements.
6. What if I have other questions about the website?
We want to know if you have questions or need assistance. Please let your unit leader know what questions you have. Unit leaders will compile questions and work with the Office of Communications and Marketing to ensure your questions are answered thoroughly.
