Two students from Auburn University’s School of Kinesiology – Kyle Wasserberger and Kevin Giordano – were selected by the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation to receive scholarships.
Wasserberger was selected by the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation to receive a Challenge Scholarship for 2020. The program awards $2,000 to NSCA members seeking either an undergraduate or graduate degree in a strength and conditioning-related field.
Giordano was named a recipient of the association’s Vitalyon Foundation Scholarship. The Vitalyon Foundation’s mission is to inspire young adults to make informed decisions about their health, improve their athletic performance, and pursue careers in the health and wellness industry. The Vitalyon Foundation has partnered with the NSCA Foundation to provide NSCA National Conference attendance (registration, domestic airfare, lodging and meal per diem) to one recipient annually.
Both students conduct research in the Sports Medicine and Movement Lab under Dr. Gretchen Oliver.
