Lyda named president-elect of state music educators organization

Alabama Music Educators Association LogoA College of Education doctoral graduate is the new president-elect of the Alabama Music Educators Association (AMEA).  Rob Lyda, Ph.D. will lead the organization over the next two years.

“Rob Lyda is an excellent Auburn City Schools music educator, an active researcher and presenter in creativity in music education, and is an important mentor for Auburn’s music education students,” said Jane Kuehne, associate professor of music education in the College of Education’s Department of Curriculum and Teaching. “He is a leader in advocating for music education in our state and nationally. We are fortunate to have him as a leader for the next two years.”
