Kinesiology student wins Women of Distinction Award

Dulce Gomez Head ShotSchool of Kinesiology doctoral student Dulce Gomez won a Women of Distinction Award from Auburn University’s Office of Inclusion and Diversity. Gomez received the Graduate Student Award.

The awards honor women who demonstrate exemplary leadership abilities, lead with heart, create innovative solutions to the world’s most challenging problems, and inspire and uplift the entire Auburn Family. Recipients were nominated by their peers on the basis of achievements, influence on other women, creative and innovative leadership within and beyond Auburn University.

“I am honored to have been nominated and recognized for this prestigious award,” Gomez said. “There are many wonderful women that set a high standard everyday within the School of Kinesiology, College of Education, and at Auburn University that inspire me to bring forth my best as well.”

The Office of Inclusion and Diversity described the winners as “women leaders who awaken the passion for success of those around her.”
