June 24 Public Awareness Event featuring Disability Advocate Linea Johnson

The Auburn Transition Leadership Institute in collaboration with Miss Auburn—Student Government Association and the Auburn University Veterans Resource Center is hosting an event to increase awareness on mental health. You are invited to attend this event, featuring, Linea Johnson, a national speaker and disability advocate, author, and college student. Ms. Johnson will discuss her personal journey with mental illness, presenting, Finding Voice, Finding Community: A Journey from Advocacy to Recovery.

Learn how striving for human rights, social justice, and individual voice can be crucial components to wellness, resiliency, and recovery. This event will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center in the Governor’s Room. Join us for light hors d’oeuvres, beverages, and an enlightening awareness of mental health issues. Parking at the hotel is free, no decal required.
