Amy McIntyre, a 2015 M.Ed. graduate from the College of Education’s School Counseling program, was recently named the 2016 Alabama School Counselor Association New Counselor of the Year. She was selected by a panel of professional evaluators, and all nominees were within their first three years of beginning their career as a school counselor.
“I grew up in Hoover and attended Auburn, where I received my B.A. in Psychology in 2013,” McIntyre said. “After finishing graduate school, I became a Nationally Certified Counselor in July 2015. I am in my second year of serving as a School Counselor at Hewitt-Trussville Middle School in Trussville City Schools.”
“I am grateful for the training and supervision that I received from both Auburn University and Auburn City Schools during my time at Auburn.”
Congratulations, Amy!
