February 25, 2019

Tegan Walker, a doctoral student in Agriscience Education, received the Distinguished Innovative Poster Presentation Award for her work entitled “Diffusing Educational Best Practices Adopted by Peace Corps Volunteers to U.S. Agricultural Educators.” Her presentation was made at the American Association for Agricultural Educators Southern Region Meeting, held in Birmingham in late January.

Walker, a recent winner of the Future Leaders Fellowship by the Association for International Agriculture and Rural Development (AIARD), is a former Peace Corps volunteer. She worked in both Costa Rica and Panama helping local farmers create value-added products and reduce post-harvest loss.

Congratulations Tegan!
