Asmaa Benbaba, a doctoral graduate of the College of Education’s Adult Education program, was recently selected to be part of a four-phase training organized and implemented by The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL).
The program prepares teachers of critical languages, such as Arabic, Urdu, Swahili, Russian, and Portuguese, to meet the licensing requirements of their state and enter the classroom as effective educators with the skills to plan, deliver content, and assess instructions using teaching principles and research-based strategies for language learning in a face-to-face classroom situation, blended instruction, and online environment.
Benbaba works in Auburn’s Office of International Programs as an Arabic instructor. At the conclusion of the program she will receive a certification and continue on with her important work. Congratulations!
