Our Rehabilitation Leadership and Management (RLMP) graduate certificate is available for rehabilitation personnel in Region IV’s 12 Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) agencies and/or contractees of Vocational Rehabilitation services. In partnership with Auburn’s Center for Disability Research and Service, RLMP participants will be prepared to seek and obtain leadership positions within the state-federal program of Vocational Rehabilitation and related agencies.

Certificate Overview

This certificate requires completion of 21 hours of courses as follows:

  • RSED 8110/8116 Organizational Leadership and Change in Rehabilitation Settings (3 hrs) (Prerequisite: departmental approval; Corequisite: RSED 8950/8956 – 3 hrs)
  • RSED 8120/8126 Management of Public Sector Organizations (3 hrs) (Prerequisite:departmental approval; Corequisite: RSED 8950/8956 – 3 hrs)
  • RSED 8050/8056 Disabilities and the Law (3 hrs) (Prerequisite: departmental approval; Corequisite: RSED 8950/8956 – 3 hrs)
  • RSED 8950/8956 Seminar (9 hrs) (Prerequisite: departmental approval; Corequisite:Students advised to take 3 hours as corequisite with each of the above three courses)
  • RSED 8980/8986 Non-Thesis Project (3 hrs) (Prerequisite: departmental approval)

 


Admissions

Prospective students intending to pursue a graduate certificate without enrolling in a degree program must apply as a non-degree seeking graduate student through the Graduate School.

Degree seeking students who plan to add a graduate certificate to their current degree program do not need to apply for admission to the graduate certificate program, but they must notify the graduate certificate coordinator of their intent to pursue the graduate certificate before completion of their degree program.
