This conference is the intersection of health, technology, and innovation for our U.S. Armed Forces. Industry, academia, and government all come together to share novel ideas and report key findings to optimize tactical athlete performance. The theme for the 2018 Tactical Athlete Summit is Better…Faster…Stronger – Improving Tactical Athlete Performance.
The two-day summit is hosted by the Warrior Research Center, part of the Auburn University College of Education, School of Kinesiology. The summit consists of keynote speakers, presentations, posters, and panel discussions about research in the field and new projects related to soldier training, injury prevention, medical treatment/rehabilitation, equipment/vehicle impact, and more. Researchers and non-researchers, including athletic trainers, military personnel, police and fire divisions, and equipment manufacturers, as well as students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend.
Registration for the 2018 Tactical Athlete Human Factors Summit opens March 1, 2018, and is available through the second day of the conference. The cost includes access to all lectures, posters, and panels, as well as lunch and a reception on September 26, breakfast and lunch on September 27, and coffee/refreshment breaks both days.

The 2018 Tactical Athlete Summit will be at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Auburn Campus (VCOM – Auburn) Built in 2014, the 100,000 square foot, four-story, state-of-the-art building is situated on 16 beautiful acres located on the Auburn University campus. The Summit will be in the conference room on the ground floor equipped with a new A/V system and three screens. Tables and chairs provide space for laptops, work materials, and beverages.
