Welcome to Auburn University’s College of Education, where opportunities abound for those aspiring to build better futures for all as tomorrow’s teachers, administrators, health specialists, and human development professionals. As you’ll see from our website, we are committed to preparing competent, committed, and reflective professionals as we engage in outstanding teaching, cutting-edge research, and meaningful outreach. With 23 undergraduate and 37 graduate degree options, our programs can be a springboard to practically any career you can imagine.
Our alumni — all 31,000-plus of them residing in all 50 states and 35 countries — provide leadership and expanded opportunities for others in K-12 schools and higher education institutions as well as in a wide range of health, exercise, sport, and human development fields. You can find them on the sidelines of your favorite sports teams as athletic trainers, serving others in health promotions and physical and occupational therapy, and as leaders in special education, rehabilitation, and counseling and school psychology.
In short, our students are prepared to be leaders from the classroom to the boardroom — and from Auburn to the world!
Having joined the college almost two years ago as its sixth dean, I am still learning about the richness of our programs and the experiences of our students, but I already know that that Auburn is a special place to study and learn and live. I encourage you to explore our website and truly learn what we mean by saying that education and health are keystones in building better futures for all.
